mixi 4.2 million+
Published May 27th, 2006 in mixi.If you are a member of mixi, go friend search 検索 2nd from the left on the upper menu and hit 検索 with no ristrictions, it returns ALL mixi members, which now ammount to 4.2 million+.
Update: Now the press release has been made. (via Fukumimi)
Update2: It is now 5,168,466 as of August 3, 2006.

That’s interesting.
I guess the counter we discussed earlier gives the number of people who have ever joined. However, it does not account for those who have quit (400k?).

Thank for the link. yeah 400K defectors quite reasonable. I think Mixi to make the press release soon for going over 4 million as they did for 3m, 2m, and 1m in the past.

Now, not sure if they read What can Mixi do for you? where I asked for the more relevant statistics, this time they published the more relevant statistics. 70% are active (nor sure, over 1 month ?) among the ever registered, quite reasonable. That means, 30% have either defected or become inactive ever since.
