The Internet in effects makes the user / customer segmentation more ocassion-based, than profile based. It’s more of what you do (email, search, im, blog, sns) than who you are (age, sex, what have you). And of course, you sometimes “twit.”
Because we don’t have enough time to make a blog post on the go, enough time to twit. It’s a time cycle segmentation, occasion based segmentation and time spots of our day (and night) distributed long tail.
