I use google image search a lot to help me with Japanese words. I think it’s such a great idea. However, I use it more when I’m writing things, because in order to read the kanji I have to look them up anyway. Sometimes it does help me to clarify the meaning, though.

That’s why it takes me so long to read things. But even if I know the reading, sometimes it helps to look on google image to find out the most common uses for a word.
i know how painful it is. All japanese went though especially in elementary school using kanwa jiten 漢和辞典. Interestingly no one use 漢和辞典 when they grow up, unless it is really urgent.
